Hair Cut*

I am unsure about it. I almost chopped it off since it was getting so long. But instead, I only cut 3 inches off. I might still cut it at my chin. We'll see.

No School? Let's go to the park!

Since the girls had no school today, Andy and I took them to the park. We actually just went down to their school, since the park we like to go to was packed, and because Syd and Andy wanted to play catch and basketball. So, off we went. It was a really pretty day. The sun was shining and the temperature was 50 degrees!
We all had lots of fun. In fact the only reason we came home was because we were all hungry. I had been cooking a roast in the slow cooker all day. So, all I had to do was make the mashed potatoes. We stuffed ourselves because it was soooo good! Fun day and a great dinner! What more could you ask for?

Ballerina or Gymnast?

I'm not sure which one. Maybe both?

Silly Animals

I love my animals. They amaze me, and amuse me just the same as my children do. The following pics are just a few examples.
The kitty is grooming Daisy.
The staredown.
Daisy says the kitty is hers.
He was actually comfortable like this. He slept there for an hour. The kitty, not Andy.

Anyway, as you can probably tell by the constant referring to him as "kitty," I still haven't come up with a proper name for him. I started calling him "Ricky Bobby" but the girls don't like it for some reason. Maybe it's because I say it with an accent, like the french guy in Talladega Nights, since that's where I got the name from. I know I am a dork. So I still gotta work on getting him a name that sticks for longer than 2 days. I'll keep ya posted!

Winters' Goodness

I love when it snows, how peaceful it is outside. I also love how beautiful it looks. Unfortunately, the gorgeous snow we got the other day has melted away, and now it is raining and the wind is blowing, hard. :( But before it did, I took some pretty pictures of it. I also got a special request from Sydney, to put the picture of her snowman on the blog. So here they are!
Kassie and Sydney with the snowman.
The tree next door, covered with the pretty white stuff.
Down one side of our deserted street. It was so quiet outside!
Down the road the other way. The specs of light in the middle of the pic are from the flash bouncing off snowflakes.

And, You Guessed It........

Even more snow!!! Yup, that's right.I'm not worried about school or work being canceled tomorrow, though. There is suppose to be rain moving in. But, from the looks of it outside, I'm starting to doubt it. It's coming down hard. That's exactly what I want, though, more snow! Yay! I love it!

With more snow, comes more snowmen, snow forts, and all around snow fun! And of course I had to take pictures of it! Here are some of the latest.
That's the view from my front window. I told you it was coming down hard!
The new snowman Andy and the girls made. It wasn't quite finished when I took the picture.
That's because it turned into a snow wall! Even as I write this, Andy is still not done piling snow on top of it! He has waaaay too much fun in the snow!

And finally, me and Andy in the snow. I LOVE it!!!!

Hello 2009.......

Andy and I rang in the New Year in a historic fashion. We went to a casino, and it wasn't our work! See, Andy cannot stand any form of casino gambling. Which is kinda funny since he is the Shift Manager in the casino we work at. Yep, we both work at a casino, and he hates gambling. Ironic, isn't it! Well, every year we have either worked on NYE or we have stayed home with the kids. We have only gone out once, and that was last year, when we went bowling for NYE. So this year, he wanted to do something, so we went to Clearwater so we could play penny slots. Fun times, I tell you! And when I say penny slots, I mean penny slots. He would only bet the minimum. You can actually bet a lot, like up to $5 a spin, but no, he wanted to only bet a little. Which was perfectly fine, because we really just wanted to get out of the house. Anyways, we actually ended up winning $120 on penny slots!!!!! Craaaazy! When it was time for the ball to drop, and ring in the New Year, the casino erupted into cheers, laughter and utter chaos. It was actually a really fun night, and I am glad he talked me into it!
In other news, I forgot to mention my "secret present" Andy got me for Christmas. I was completely unaware he was getting this for me. You see, we normally tell each other what we get for one another. He knows I hate being suprised, so he always tells me. Well, I shouldn't say always because this time he caught me off guard! Anyways, he got me a kitty!!!! I was completely shocked! He usually doesn't care for cats, but he knows I love them. Well, he found one that he just adored, so he got it for me. He is a 3 month old Siamese mix kitten. I named him Smokie, but I don't know if that name is gonna stick. I liked it at first, but now I don't care for it. So, for the last 2 days I have been calling him "Meow meow." So, if anyone wants to suggest a good name for him, I will gladly consider it! The dogs were too funny when we introduce them to the kitty. Daisy was completely jealous, which is understandable, but Dusty didn't even notice the kitty at all! So, we got the dogs got used to the kitty, and they were fine with him, until the next day, when they saw the kitty in the window, and then they lost it. All they did was bark and bark until we gave them attention. I love my kooky animals. Anyways, below are the pictures of my new kitty.
The first day we got him.
Yes, he does belong in this family. He has already taken over my laptop, just like my kids!
He has the most crystal blue eyes, but you can't tell by this picture, because my red-eye fixer doesn't work on kitty eyes. You'd think all he does is sleep. Well, you'd be right! That's how Madeline got to dress the kitty up without him knowing it! He is soooo adorable, though.
So, like I said earlier, if anyone has any name suggestions, please let me know! Happy New Year to all!!!!
