Andy and I rang in the New Year in a historic fashion. We went to a casino, and it wasn't our work! See, Andy cannot stand any form of casino gambling. Which is kinda funny since he is the Shift Manager in the casino we work at. Yep, we both work at a casino, and he hates gambling. Ironic, isn't it! Well, every year we have either worked on NYE or we have stayed home with the kids. We have only gone out once, and that was last year, when we went bowling for NYE. So this year, he wanted to
do something, so we went to Clearwater so we could play penny slots. Fun times, I tell you! And when I say penny slots, I mean
penny slots. He would only bet the minimum. You can actually bet a lot, like up to $5 a spin, but no, he wanted to only bet a little. Which was perfectly fine, because we really just wanted to get out of the house. Anyways, we actually ended up winning $120 on penny slots!!!!! Craaaazy! When it was time for the ball to drop, and ring in the New Year, the casino erupted into cheers, laughter and utter chaos. It was actually a really fun night, and I am glad he talked me into it!
In other news, I forgot to mention my "secret present" Andy got me for Christmas. I was completely unaware he was getting this for me. You see, we normally tell each other what we get for one another. He knows I hate being suprised, so he always tells me. Well, I shouldn't say
always because this time he caught me off guard! Anyways, he got me a kitty!!!! I was completely shocked! He usually doesn't care for cats, but he knows I love them. Well, he found one that he just adored, so he got it for me. He is a 3 month old Siamese mix kitten. I named him Smokie, but I don't know if that name is gonna stick. I liked it at first, but now I don't care for it. So, for the last 2 days I have been calling him "Meow meow." So, if anyone wants to suggest a good name for him, I will gladly consider it! The dogs were too funny when we introduce them to the kitty. Daisy was completely jealous, which is understandable, but Dusty didn't even notice the kitty at all! So, we got the dogs got used to the kitty, and they were fine with him, until the next day, when they saw the kitty in the window, and then they lost it. All they did was bark and bark until we gave them attention. I love my kooky animals. Anyways, below are the pictures of my new kitty.

The first day we got him.

Yes, he does belong in this family. He has already taken over my laptop, just like my kids!

He has the most crystal blue eyes, but you can't tell by this picture, because my red-eye fixer doesn't work on kitty eyes.

You'd think all he does is sleep. Well, you'd be right! That's how Madeline got to dress the kitty up without him knowing it! He is soooo adorable, though.
So, like I said earlier, if anyone has any name suggestions, please let me know! Happy New Year to all!!!!
