Happy Spring!

Yes, a very happy spring indeed. Here's an update on our spring projects.

First off, the seeds for our new garden have been germinated. We have transplanted them into jiffy cups, and pretty soon we will be transplanting them into the ground. We are doing an herb garden, a vegetable garden, some fruits, and a flower garden. We hope to produce a lot of crop so we can enjoy the fruits of our labor, and so we can share with our friends too!
We roto-tilled the side yard where our garden is to be. We started with a small roto-tiller, then about 2 hours into it with only about 2 sq. ft. tilled, we realized we needed to go bigger to get the job done in one day, not one week. After we got the bigger one, Andy banged out the rest in only about 2 more hours! Sometimes bigger is better, and necessary. :)
And last but not least, our tree. What a beauty it is. Did I mention to you guys that it will have bright red leaves? It's said that when the sun hits it, it looks like the tree is on fire! We put a stone wall around it, to give it a decorative look. We just can't decide if we want to fill in around the tree with bark or with white rock. Suggestions are welcome......
I will update this more when we do plant all the things in the garden, and patiently wait for it to produce crop! Until then.....
